A motorist is suing a fellow Granite City resident whom she alleges collided with her.
Kay A. Clayton filed a lawsuit March 2 in Madison County Circuit Court against Robert L. Smith.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 8, 2014, Smith crashed his vehicle in Clayton's car at 20th Street and Grand Avenue, Granite City, causing injuries to the plaintiff. The suit says the injuries caused Clayton to hire the services of doctors and hospitals.
Clayton seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by attorney Keith Short of Edwardsville.
