Madison County Circuit Judge Barbara Crowder scheduled a case management conference in a couple’s lawsuit alleging Ameren Illinois destroyed their and and failed to restore the damage.
Crowder set the case management conference for 9 a.m. on April 29. No other actions have been taken in the case so far.
In Richard and June Iberg’s lawsuit filed last July, they claim they allowed Ameren to utilize their land, situated on Illinois Highway 162, after Ameren requested permission to drive on their property to work on a delivery system and to install a security fence.
The suit accuses the defendant of immediately exceeding the request and permission extent by placing on the plaintiff’s property extra dirt and fill, parking large trucks and employee vehicles, trackhoes, backhoes, bobcats, generator trailers, as well as creating a huge rock pile and several welding sites.
Because Ameren failed to return the plaintiffs’ land to its previous condition, the couple claims property damage of more than $50,000.
They seek a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
