A Madison County woman claims she was injured in a traffic collision while stopped at a red light in Shiloh.
Kimberly Mansfield filed a lawsuit on March 18 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Amber Rainge, alleging vehicular negligence in the April 2013 St. Clair County auto accident.
According to the suit, Mansfield was in her car stopped at a red light near the intersection of North Greenmount Rd. and Central Park Dr. in Shiloh on or about April 1, 2013. The defendant’s vehicle rear-ended the plaintiff’s, the complaint states.
The plaintiff alleges Rainge drove at excessive speed, failed to slow down, yield to other traffic or keep a proper lookout while operating her motor vehicle.
Mansfield claims she was injured on her back, neck and general body. The plaintiff claims she suffered great pain and mental anguish, medical expenses, permanently disabling and disfiguring injuries along with diminished earning capacity due to her inability to pursue her normal gainful occupation.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus attorneys’ fees and costs. She is represented by attorney Gregory Shevlin of Cook, Ysursa, Bartholomew, Brauer & Shevlin in Belleville.
