A Monroe County woman is suing the driver of a lumber company truck and the lumber company for injuries suffered in an accident allegedly caused by the truck driver.
According to a lawsuit filed March 27 in Madison County Circuit Court, Janice K. Elbrecht is suing Trevor Ridge and his company, R.P. Lumber Co. Inc.
According to the complaint, on the morning of Oct. 9, 2013, Ridge was negligent in failing to yield and running head-on with his R.P. Lumber Co. tractor-trailer into Elbrecht's 2000 Dodge Neon, causing her injuries.
Elbrecht seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
The plaintiff is represented by attorney Patricia Zimmer of Ripplinger and Zimmer LLC of Belleville, Ill.
