A motorist is suing a communications company and its employee, alleging negligence in a 2013 roadway accident.
Diane Dillier filed a lawsuit on March 18 in Madison County Circuit Court against Aero Communications Inc., also known as ACI Direct, and Tyrai D. Stewart, alleging vehicular negligence in a 2013 collision.
According to the complaint, on May 7, 2013, Stewart was operating a 2011 Ford Ranger owned by ACI and traveling northbound on state Route 157 approaching the intersection of Interstate Highways 55/70 in Collinsville when his vehicle struck Dillier’s.
Diller alleges Stewart was following her vehicle too closely and rapidly. The plaintiff accuses Stewart of failure to keep a proper lookout and control his vehicle, resulting in a chain reaction accident involving several vehicles. Diller accuses ACI directly of negligence in maintaining its vehicle in good condition.
Dillier alleges multiple injuries to her head, neck, back, arms, legs, ribs, lungs, spine, skin, skeletal and nervous system, muscles, ligaments and tendons. She claims she suffers from headaches, pain, nausea, inflammation and other symptoms, plus loss of enjoyment of life and functionality, travel and medical expenses.
Dillier seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus attorney fees and costs. She is represented by attorney Justin Mattea of Collinsville.
