Reeg elected trustee of Missouri Baptist Medical Center Board

Goldberg Segalla partner Kurtis B. Reeg has been elected to a three-year term as a trustee on Missouri Baptist Medical Center’s Board of Trustees.

In his role as trustee, Reeg will serve as a member of the board’s Medical Ethics Committee, which addresses both organizational and clinical ethics questions in order to promote, maintain, and advance patients’ rights. The hospital will formally seat him in April.

Reeg is a partner in Goldberg Segalla’s Global Insurance Services, Product Liability, and Toxic Torts Practice Groups in St. Louis.

Hospital leadership tapped Reeg for the trustee role after serving for the past two and a half years on its Citizen Advisory Board, which is tasked with helping the non-profit hospital assess how well it is meeting the needs of the community.

Reeg and his wife Cindy’s support of the 130-year-old medical center also includes funding scholarships for beginning and advanced nurse’s training at its Goldfarb School of Nursing on Missouri Baptist’s campus.

“Cindy and I knew we wanted to help the hospital meet its mission after we experienced its excellent care first-hand several years ago, so I’m really looking forward to giving back in this way,” said Reeg.
