A man injured when a vehicle crossed over a divided highway into oncoming traffic is suing the estate of the person he claims caused the accident.
Randy Kish filed suit against attorney Blake Meinders, who serves as administrator of the estate of Robin Scott, on Feb. 18 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Kish claims that he was a passenger in a 2011 Ford Econoline being operated by Doraine Vance, who was driving eastbound on Illinois Route 15 at its intersection with South Demazenod Road. Kish claims Scott lost control of the 2002 Dodge Stratus she was driving westbound on Route 15, and caused the collision with Vance's vehicle.
The incident occurred on March 1, 2013. Scott died as a result, the suit says.
Kish, who claims disability and disfigurement, seeks in excess of $50,000 in damages.
He is represented by Kevin Boyne of Belleville.
