An O'Fallon Wal-Mart shopper claims she slipped and fell on liquid that she did not know was on the floor and suffered severe injury and pain as a result.
Gessica Gorrigan filed suit Feb. 11 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
She claims that employees knew the liquid was on the floor prior to her fall that she claims took place on Aug. 30, 2013. She blames the store for failing to warn her of the wet floor, failing to warn of the hazardous condition and failing to exercise reasonable care in the maintenance of its premises.
Corrigan claims that in addition to injury and pain, she has suffered lost wages, lost enjoyment of life, and incurred pain, suffering and disability.
She seeks in excess of $50,000 in damages.
Matthew Young of Belleville represents Corrigan.
