Williams Venker & Sanders partners Theodore Williams, Paul Venker. Steve Sanders, Robert Bassett and Lucy Unger have been named by Missouri and Kansas "Super Lawyers" as five of the top attorneys in the area for 2014.
Only five percent of the lawyers in Missouri and Kansas are recognized by Super Lawyers, according to a release from the firm.
Since 2005, Williams has been named a Super Lawyer in the area of civil litigation defense.
Venker was recognized, for the eighth straight year, in the area of medical malpractice defense.
Sanders, named for his work in product liability defense, has been listed since 2006.
Bassett has been listed in Super Lawyers since 2011, and is recognized for his work in personal injury defense and products liability.
Unger, previously listed as a “Rising Star,” was recognized as a Super Lawyer this year for her work in civil litigation defense.
Additionally, partners Matthew Pelikan and John Mahon, Jr. made repeat appearances on the list of Super Lawyers Rising Stars.
Pelikan was named a third time this year for his work in product liability defense, and
Mahon was named for the fourth consecutive year for his work in medical malpractice defense.
Making his debut on the list of Rising Stars is associate Nathan Leming, recognized for professional liability defense.
