A mail carrier claims she sustained injuries when two dogs attacked her as she was attempting to complete her work duties.
Dawn Boma filed a lawsuit July 10 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Kelly Morgan, Mel Morgan, Joshua Pohle and Ruby Pohle.
In her complaint, Boma claims she was delivering mail for the U.S. Postal Service on April 3, when she approached a residence at 217 Kroeger Avenue in Dupo. However, before Boma could deliver the mail, two dogs escaped from the screened-in porch and attacked her, according to the complaint.
Because of the attack, Boma sustained injuries, incurred medical costs, lost wages, experienced pain and suffering and endured disability and disfigurement, the suit states.
Kelly Morgan and Mel Morgan owned the dogs that attacked Boma while Joshua Pohle and Ruby Pohle owned the residence where Boma was attacked.
Boma seeks an unspecified judgment, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.
She is being represented by the law firm Howerton, Dorris and Stone.
