Le Chien orders Stiehl to answer plaintiff in personal injury suit

St. Clair County Circuit Judge Robert Le Chien has ordered U.S. District Judge William Stiehl to answer discovery requests in an auto accident injury lawsuit.

Stiehl was sued last year by Amos C. Mosby, Jr. who claims Stiehl ran a stop sign and caused a collision in a residential area of Belleville on Aug. 13, 2011.

On May 27, Le Chien granted a plaintiff’s motion to compel discovery answers, giving the federal judge 14 days to comply.

Stiehl has denied the allegations and has asked that the case be dismissed.

Mosby is represented by Amy Collignon Gunn of the Simon Law Firm in St. Louis.

Stiehl is represented by David C. Berwin of Evans & Dixon in St. Louis.

A status conference is scheduled July 15.
