Trial reset in woman's personal injury case against Alton casino

A personal injury trial in a three-year-old case against Argosy Casino Alton has been continued for a fifth time.

Debra K. Cobb claims she fell in a pool of water in the casino’s bathroom, sustaining serious injuries. She blames the casino for allowing a pool of water to exist, failing to properly erect barriers, failing to reasonably inspect premises and failing to warn.

Madison County Circuit Judge Barbara Crowder canceled a trial set for May 19 over plaintiff’s objections, and re-set it to Sept. 22

Gregory Tobin of Pratt and Tobin in East Alton represents Cobb.

Greg Kinney and Benjamin Powell of HeplerBroom in Edwardsville represents the defendant.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 11-L-913.
