A man is suing a driver who allegedlu caused an accident on Old U.S. Highway 50.
Sheldon Ritzheimer filed a lawsuit Jan. 31 in the St. Clair Circuit Court against David Sutherland, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, on April 4, Ritzheimer was traveling westbound on Old U.S. Highway 50. The complaint says at the same time Sutherland was traveling eastbound on the same roadway and attempted to make a left turn onto Summerfield St. Jacob Road, directly in front of Ritzheimer's vehicle, causing a collision.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000.
He is being represented in the case by St. Louis attorney Shaun Falvey of Brown & Crouppen P.C.
