An Edwardsville orthopedic surgeon and licensed attorney is suing after sustaining injury in a car collision.
Rocco A. Marrese filed a lawsuit Jan. 23 in Madison County Circuit Court against Carol L. Tarpey, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, on Feb. 23, 2012, the car Tarpey was driving collided with Marrese's car on State Route 157 in Edwardsville, causing injury to Marrese. The defendant is accused of failing to safely operate her car, failing to properly maintain her car with safe equipment and failing to maintain a safe distance.
Marrese is seeking more than $50,000 in damages and is being represented in the case by attorney Michael D. Marrese of Florida.
Rocco Marrese is licensed as an orthopedic surgeon to practice in Missouri, Florida, Indiana and Illinois. His local practice is at 15 Fairway Dr, Edwardsville.
He became a lawyer in Illinois in 1992.
