A woman is suing Wal-Mart after she fell and fractured her knee.
Rita Allen filed a lawsuit Jan. 16 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Stores Inc., citing negligence.
The complaint states that on June 8, Allen was a customer at Wal-Mart in Jerseyville when she slipped on a wet spot on the floor and fell, causing her to fracture her right knee.
Allen is seeking damages in excess of $50,000.
She is being represented in the case by attorney James E. Gorman of Lucco, Brown, Threlkeld and Dawson LLP.
