Madison County Chief Judge David Hylla has been appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to chair the Illinois Judicial Conference Committee on Automation and Technology for 2014.
Fellow Madison County Circuit Judge Bill Mudge was also appointed to serve on this committee. Both Hylla and Mudge were also appointed to the Judicial Conference of Illinois until Dec. 31, 2016.
The Automation and Technology Committee is charged with developing general guidelines and statewide standards on the use of e-business in the trial courts, appellate courts and supreme court. This will be done in collaboration with the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts and chief judges throughout the state, according to a release from Hylla's office.
Hylla also serves on the Illinois Supreme Court’s Special Advisory Committee on Justice and Mental Health Planning.
