Snowmobile ejection causes ankle injuries, suit says

A man claims he suffered ankle injuries after he was thrown from a snowmobile.

Alan R. Krontz of Edwardsville filed a lawsuit Dec. 19 in Madison County Circuit Court against Joshua Krontz of Worden.

In his complaint, Alan Krontz alleges he was riding on a vehicle Joshua Krontz was driving on Jan. 19, 2012. Suddenly, Joshua Krontz rapidly sped up, causing Alan Krontz to be thrown from the snowmobile, according to the complaint.

The complaint does not state the relationship between plaintiff and defendant.

In addition to his ankle injuries, Alan Krontz incurred medical costs, was hindered from attending to his usual duties and lost money, the suit states.

Alan Krontz blames Joshua Krontz for causing his injuries, saying he negligently accelerated the vehicle without warning and drove too fast.

In his complaint, Alan Krontz seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.

Bob L. Perica of The Perica Law Firm in Wood River will be representing him.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 13-L-2131.
