Madison County Circuit Judge William Mudge scheduled a case management conference for Dec. 18 at 9 a.m. in a truck driver’s case alleging she was fired from her job after she filed a workers’ compensation claim.
According to the complaint filed Sept. 17, Sandra Terry claims she was working as a truck driver for TMCI on Aug. 9, 2008, when she suffered an injury.
Because she was injured while working, she filed for workers’ compensation benefits, including medical treatment and time off work, the suit states.
Then on Sept. 20, 2008, TMCI fired Terry. Defendant Thomas J. Manville authorized her termination, allegedly aware that it was a result of her workers’ compensation claim, Terry alleges in her complaint.
