A Michigan family filed a lawsuit against a driver for allegedly causing a collision resulting in serious injuries.
Charles Hudson, Algerine Hall-Hudson, Lynda Hall and minor child Allesa Hall of Roseville, Mich., filed a lawsuit on June 9 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Ronald Weaver of Fairview Heights, Ill., on allegations of vehicular negligence in a June 2013 collision in St. Clair County.
According to the complaint, the defendant drove his vehicle into the path of the plaintiffs’ automobile on June 22, 2013, while traveling northbound on North Illinois in Fairview Heights as the Hudsons were turning left onto North Illinois from Fountain Parkway.
The defendant is blamed for driving his vehicle too fast, failing to exercise caution by keeping a lookout, neglecting to sound his horn upon approach and disobeying a traffic signal.
The suit states that all three family members claim various bodily injuries including fractures, sprains, bruises and swelling. Alleging impairment, diminished everyday functioning, loss of enjoyment of life and medical expenses, the family seeks judgment for damages in excess of $50,000; plus attorneys’ fees and costs.
They are represented by Patrick Mickey of Brown & Crouppen in St. Louis.
