Two more student loan lenders filed lawsuits against a Belleville woman accused of defaulting on her loans.
Brazos Student Finance Corporation and Acapita Education Finance Corp., formerly known as Global Educational Finance Corp., both as assignees of Richland State Bank, filed separate lawsuits May 29 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Jamie Lynn Aaron, alleging default on a loan agreement.
Brazos Student Finance Corporation filed a similar suit against Aaron for failure to pay her student loans, seeking $76,766.99 (15-L-323).
According to the complaints, the defendant is indebted to Richland State Bank.
In this Brazos lawsuit, it claims that after offsets and credits, the remaining balance on the promissory note is $20,771.76. The suit states Aaron's last payment was made May 22, 2013 and demand for payment was made and refused.
In Acapita's suit, it claims the remaining balance on the promissory note is $14,440.79.
The plaintiffs claim Aaron hasn't made a payment since May 22, 2013. They allege their demands for payments have been made and refused.
Brazos Student Finance seeks an aggregated total of $62,181.16 plus $10,726.65, for a grand total of $72,907.81 in addition to post-judgment interest and court costs.
Acapita seeks an aggregated total of $20,559.57 plus $3,204.21 in interest for a grand total of $23,763.78, in addition to post-judgment interest, attorney fees and court costs.
