A Madison County motorist is suing two other drivers, alleging she was injured in a highway collision.
Ali Middlesworth filed a lawsuit on June 4 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Daniel Burgard and Wayne Eldridge, alleging negligence in 2015 car accident.
According to the suit, on Jan. 16, Middlesworth was driving northbound on Interstate Highway 270 in St. Louis County, when Eldridge's vehicle hit the rear of Burgard's vehicle, causing Burgard to collide with Middlesworth's vehicle.
The suit alleges both Burgard and Eldridge failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles, drive at an appropriate speed, properly apply the brakes and yield right of way to approaching traffic.
The plaintiff alleges she endured extensive internal and external injuries to her body and is disabled as a result, which in turn will impair her ability to earn money as an employee in the future.
Middlesworth seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus suit costs.
She is represented by attorneys Thomas C. Rich, Michelle M. Rich and Kristina D. Cooksey of Thomas C. Rich Attorneys at Law in Fairview Heights.
