A Madison County man is suing a motorist for allegedly causing a collision.
Andrew McKee filed a lawsuit on May 15 in Madison County Circuit Court against Mason Czar, alleging negligence in a 2013 accident.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 9 . 2013, McKee was stopped in his vehicle at a stop sign at the intersection of Blasé Avenue and Hall Street in St. Louis, when he was struck by Czar's motor vehicle.
The plaintiff accuses the defendant of: breach of duty to exercise ordinary care on public roadways; failure to keep a careful lookout; maintain a safe speed; reduce speed; maneuver his car and/or sound a warning; and yield right of way. Additionally, the plaintiff alleges Czar’s vehicle was on the wrong side of the road.
The plaintiff alleges temporary and permanent injuries and seeks compensation for medical, doctor and hospital bills. He also alleges difficulty in attending to everyday duties and affairs.
McKee seeks damages in excess of $50,000, attorney fees and costs, and all further relief as the court deems appropriate.
