Lisa Cistrunk of Belleville is suing the owners and manager of an apartment building where she was allegedly injured by an unsecured mat on a walkway.
ESL sued by property owner for wrongful demolition
Another East St. Louis property owner has filed suit against the city for allegedly demolishing a building without permission and keeping the proceeds.

Dog bite at yard sale subject of Madison County suit
The parents of a girl injured after she was allegedly bitten by a dog at a yard sale filed a personal injury suit in Madison County Circuit Court May 3, which seeks damages in excess of $200,000.

Fingerprinting events to be held in Metro area
Acting U.S. Attorney Randy Massey announced that in honor of National Missing Children's Day, and in support of the Attorney General's Project Safe Childhood initiative, Operation Safe Kids fingerprinting events will be held at various locations in St. Clair, Madison and Monroe Counties on Friday, May 11 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
