Debra Schnell filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against Belleville Memorial Hospital and obstetrician John Hucker, M.D. in St. Clair County Circuit Court Dec. 2, claiming her daughter developed cerebral palsy due to negligent care during birth.

Collinsville High School Rhoda Mitchell of Collinsville is suing her daughter's high school because the girl was hurt playing a tackling game "sharks and fish"--during a driver's education class.
Coin op laundry sues Marion County Housing Authority for contract cancellation
A provider of coin operated laundry machines filed suit in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois Dec. 2 against the Marion County Housing Authority (MCHA) claiming it is in breach of contract.
Shopper sues after picture frames strike her in chin
A woman injured after a shelf full of picture frames fell on her while shopping has filed suit in Madison County Circuit Court Dec. 12, seeking damages in excess of $50,000.
