The perils of faulty equipment, mental anguish and a deprived wife prompted an injured Illinois trucker to file a $400,000 suit April 25 in Madison County Circuit Court against his employer and big rig manufacturers.
Crack dealer sentenced to 16 years
Andre Monroe, “Dre,” 28, of East St. Louis, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Benton, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, Ronald J. Tenpas announced April 20.

Collinsville office worker pleads guilty to defrauding Blue Cross
Allison Warren-Schlotter, 40, of Collinsville, pled guilty in U.S. District Court in East St. Louis, to a 13-count indictment charging her with health care fraud and acquiring a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud and deception.

A Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA) suit was filed by the widow of a Norfolk Southern Railway worker who blames the railroad for her husband's cancer death.
