The Illinois Supreme Court announced today its office plans for the week of August 19-22 when the Democratic National Convention is being held in Chicago.

Significant street closures and public transportation routing changes are likely to affect the United Center and McCormick Place convention sites and surrounding areas, and this in-turn is likely to pose commuting challenges to the Michael A. Bilandic Building (Bilandic Building) and 222 N. LaSalle Street in Chicago. Judges and staff who typically work at the Bilandic Building or at 222 N. LaSalle Street are encouraged to work remotely during the convention week so that the reviewing courts may conduct business. Documents filed in the Supreme Court and First District Appellate Courts will continue to be accepted via e-filing, and a drop box will be made available near the Bilandic Building security desk should anyone wish to file hard copies of documents.
