BELLEVILLE – A woman has filed a negligence lawsuit after allegedly falling down some stairs at one of the company's properties.

Plaintiff Kacie Dehart filed the lawsuit in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against KHG Property Management, LLC, citing negligence and premises liability.

According to the lawsuit, on August 16, 2023, Dehart was a business invitee to a property owned by KHG Property Management. Dehart claims that while she was on company premises, she fell down some stairs that were in a state of disrepair and was seriously injured on her face, back and neck.

According to Dehart, the defendant was negligent in its failure to properly maintain the premises to protect the safety of visitors and in its failure to provide proper warning of the dangerous conditions of the stairs.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for pain, suffering, medical expenses, loss of normal life, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. She is represented in this case by attorney Ben Sansone of Sansone & Lauber in Clayton, Mo.
