East St. Louis - State Representative Kevin Schmidt is hosting a Job Fair taking on Nov. 3 in East St. Louis.
The event will take place at the Wyvetter H. Younge Higher Education Campus Multipurpose Room, located in Building D at 601 James R. Thompson Blvd. This event is an opportunity for job seekers to connect with local employers, gain valuable insights through free workshops, and advance their careers.
The event is open to the public with free admission and will feature three workshops aimed at equipping attendees with the essential skills needed for success in today's competitive job market. The workshop schedule is as follows:
9:30 a.m. - "Creating a Resume that Gets You Noticed"
10:30 a.m. - "Inside Track to Interviewing with Confidence"
11:30 a.m. - "How to Navigate the State Hiring Process"
These workshops will aim to provide attendees with the knowledge and tools necessary to stand out and thrive in their job search.
