BELLEVILLE – A woman is suing the At Home store in OFallon, claiming that a display of floor-length mirrors fell on her while she was shopping.

Plaintiff Tanchena Gregory filed the lawsuit in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against At Home, LLC, citing negligence.

According to the lawsuit, Gregory was a patron of the At Home store in O'Fallon on Sept. 22, 2022. She claims that while she was shopping, she moved a floor-length mirror that was on display. She alleges that as a result, several other floor-length mirrors fell on top of her, causing her to suffer serious injuries.

Gregory claims the defendant was negligent in failing to properly arrange and maintain its display of floor-length mirrors in a fashion to protect the safety of its customers and failing to provide warning of the dangerous condition.

Gregory alleges she has sustained severe bodily injuries, which have caused her to experience pain, suffering, mental anguish, disability and disfigurement. She claims her injuries will impact her ability to earn income and enjoy normal life. She adds that she has incurred medical expenses and will continue to require the services of medical staff to recover.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. She is represented in this case by attorney Stephen C. Buser of the Law Office of Stephen C. Buser in Columbia.
