Marcia M. Meis, Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, announced that the Twelfth Judicial Circuit judges voted to select Joan M. Meyers and Thomas Slazyk as associate judges of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit.
Ms. Meyers received her undergraduate degree in 1984 from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and her Juris Doctor in 1990 from New York Law School in New York, New York.
Ms. Meyers is currently affiliated with the Village of Plainfield in Plainfield, Illinois. Mr. Slazyk received his undergraduate degree in 1989 from St. Xavier in Chicago, Illinois, and his Juris Doctor in 2001 from Chicago Kent College of Law in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Slazyk is currently affiliated with Will County State’s Attorney’s Office in Joliet, Illinois.
