St. Clair County Associate Judge Julie Katz is presiding over a trial for a breach of contract suit alleging Dupo Oilfield failed to operate a well in compliance with the Department of Natural Resources rules and regulations.
Plaintiffs Charles Larson and Virginia Maxine Larson filed their complaint on Dec. 31, 2018, against Dupo Oilfield Development Inc.
The plaintiffs allegedly agreed to enter into an oil and gas lease agreement with the defendants for real estate in St. Clair County. However, they claim the defendant breached their contract. The defendant allegedly allowed the accumulation of junk metal and debris to remain on the plaintiffs’ property, the suit states.
The plaintiffs claim the Department of Natural Resources ordered the defendant to remove the debris, but it allegedly failed to do so.
As a result, the plaintiffs claim they suffered damages to their property and incurred attorney’s fees.
They seek an award for attorney’s fees, costs and all other relief the court deems just.
The Larsons are represented by attorney Jesse R. Gilsdorf.
