Weiler Named Vice President of the Appellate Lawyers Association

Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP partner Catherine Basque Weiler was appointed Vice President of the Appellate Lawyers Association (ALA) following during ALA’s installation ceremony on June 30. Catherine will serve as Vice President alongside newly appointed ALA President Marron Mahoney, Secretary Seth Horvath, and Treasurer Kimberly Glasford. She will continue progressing through the officer ranks until she serves as ALA president.

Weiler, who chairs the firm's Appellate Practice group, has been a long-time active participant of ALA. She also serves as co-chair of the Cases Pending Committee and is a committee member of the Moot Court Committee.

Weiler focuses her practice on trial practice and appeals. In addition to her appellate practice, Weiler actively represents clients in the state and federal trial courts through all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial, primarily defending legal malpractice, commercial, product and premises liability claims.
