James DuChateau was recently re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC). This represents Duchateau’s third term on the board of directors, where he is slated to serve until 2026.

DuChateau, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and insurance coverage litigation in state and federal courts throughout the Midwest and Mountain West. His practice also includes the representation of financial institution clients in both UCC and REO matters, as well as trade secret and restrictive covenant litigation. He is a former editor-in-chief of IDC Quarterly and was IDC’s 2014 Volunteer of the Year. He was previously honored as the Legal Assistance Foundation’s Pro Bono Volunteer of the Year for 2014. DuChateau has been named an Illinois Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters.
