State Senators Jason Plummer (R-Edwardsville) and Erica Harriss (R-Glen Carbon) are hosting an end-of-session town hall event for constituents.
The event is scheduled for May 30 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Edwardsville Gun Club located at 4104 Staunton Road in Edwardsville.
“Since being elected, I have always been committed to keeping my friends and neighbors up to date on what is happening in Springfield,” Plummer said. “As their voice and ears at the capitol, a duty I take seriously, it is also my job to make sure I am constantly seeking their input and feedback to make sure they are well represented. I look forward, as always, to more townhalls and events aimed and insuring, at least in our neck of the woods, government is working for the people, not the other way around.”
Plummer and Harriss will provide an update on legislation that was passed during the 2023 Spring Session and allow members of the audience a chance to provide input.
“Constituent services is incredibly important to me and this is a great way to hear about legislative matters that were brought forth this session in the Senate,” Harriss said. “It’s also a great way for your voices to be heard on issues that matter the most to you so we can advocate on behalf of you during the next session.”
