EDWARDSVILLE – A Crazy Bowls and Wraps customer claims she was injured when she slipped and fell at the Edwardsville restaurant.

Plaintiff Cheryl Kessler filed the lawsuit in the Madison County Circuit Court against Bonzai Ezpress of St. Louis, doing business as Crazy Bowls and Wraps, citing negligence.

According to the lawsuit, Kessler was a patron at the Crazy Bowls and Wraps restaurant in Edwardsville on Jan. 20, 2022. Kessler claims that when she went to the drink station to get a refill of her drink, she slipped on some nearby ice or liquid. She claims she fell and suffered severe injuries.

Kessler alleges the defendant negligently failed to properly maintain the premises to protect the safety of its customers.

Kessler claims that as a result of the defendant's negligence, she has suffered bodily injuries, which have caused her to experience pain, suffering, emotional distress, mental anguish, and disfigurement. She alleges her injuries have affected her ability to earn income and enjoy normal activities. She adds that she has incurred medical expenses and will continue to require the services of medical staff to recover.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. She is represented in this case by the attorneys of Hipskind & McAninch LLC in Belleville and the attorneys of Dipasquale Moore LLC in St. Louis.
