BELLEVILLE – An O'Fallon renter is suing her landlord, alleging a malfunctioning shower door fell on her and caused her to sustain severe injuries.

Plaintiff Pauline Brown filed the lawsuit in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Christine Enterprises, Inc. & Schuler Family Trust, citing negligence.

According to the lawsuit, Brown was a resident at an O'Fallon rental property that was owned and maintained by the defendants. The plaintiff adds that as a result of her injuries, she has incurred medical costs and will continue to require medical care to recover.

Brown is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. She is represented in this case by attorney Jarrod P. Beasley of Kuehn, Beasley & Young, P.C. in Belleville.
