BELLEVILLE – A motorist is suing Illinois Central School Bus following a collision in Fairview Heights.

Plaintiff Antonio Green filed a lawsuit in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against defendants Clarence Bell and Illinois Central School Bus, LLC, citing negligence and carelessness.

According to the lawsuit, on June 24, 2021, Green was driving westbound on Bunkum Road in Fairview Heights and Bell was driving in the opposite lane, coming from the opposite direction. Green alleges that while turning, Bell suddenly stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road and caused Green to collide with his vehicle. The lawsuit states that Bell is an employee of Illinois Central School Bus and was acting on behalf of his employer at the time of the accident.

Green claims he suffered severe injuries, which have caused him to experience pain, suffering, disability and lost wages. He claims his injuries will impact his ability to earn income in the future. Green adds that he has incurred medical costs and will continue to require medical care to recover from his injuries.

The plaintiffs are seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. He is represented in this case by the attorneys of Rich, Rich, Cooksey & Chappell, P.C. in Fairview Heights.
