Illinois State Rep. Amy Elik (R-Fosterburg) recently earned recognition for her work to support economic opportunity and free enterprise in Illinois.
According to a press release, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce presented the 2022 Champion of Free Enterprise and Freshman of the Year Award to Rep. Amy Elik. She was the only freshman member of the Illinois House of Representatives to receive these honors during the 102nd General Assembly.
“As a lawmaker and CPA, supporting policy that helps grow our economy, cut red tape, and improve our job climate is a good recipe to make Illinois more prosperous,” Elik stated in a press release. “I appreciate the recognition for my strong voting record in support of strengthening Illinois’ economy. I will continue to work on helping make Illinois a stronger, better place for families to live and work.”
The awards are presented to Illinois lawmakers that work to advance economic opportunity and expand free enterprise across the state.
