EDWARDSVILLE – A customer is suing a Belleville Walmart after she allegedly slipped and injured herself in the store.

Plaintiff Deirde Grier filed a lawsuit in Madison County Circuit Court against Walmart, Inc., citing negligence and carelessness.

According to the lawsuit, Grier was a patron at a Walmart Supercenter in Belleville on Dec. 19, 2021, when she allegedly slipped on a foreign substance and suffered injuries. Grier alleges the defendant failed to take proper precautions to protect the safety of its customers.
