Shopper sues Shiloh Target over slip, fall

EDWARDSVILLE – A customer is suing a Shiloh Target after she allegedly slipped on the floor and injured herself. 

Plaintiff Diane Earhart filed the lawsuit in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against defendant Target Corporation, citing negligence.

According to the lawsuit, on Sept. 6, 2020, Earhart was a visitor at the Target store on Green Mt. Crossing in Shiloh when she allegedly slipped on a greasy substance twice, causing her to injure herself. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to take proper precautions to protect the safety of its customers.

Earhart allegedly suffered injuries which has caused her to incur medical expenses and will continue to require the services of medical staff to recover. 

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. She is represented in this case by attorney Andrew G. Toennies of Kirkendall Dwyer LLP in St. Louis.
