EDWARDSVILLE - A driver is suing Odie LLC after one of its drivers allegedly caused an Alton crash.

Richard Evans filed the lawsuit in the Madison County Circuit Court against Odie LLC, citing negligence and recklessness by employee Curties Tolliver.

According to the lawsuit, on March 23, 2020, Evans was driving near the intersection of Rock Springs Drive and Brown Street in Alton when he was allegedly struck by a vehicle operated by a driver of Odie LLC. The plaintiff claims Tolliver was driving the defendant's vehicle at a rate of speed that was "excessive."

Evans claims that he was "thrown about" during the collision and was "painfully and permanently injured" to numerous parts of his body, which will likely require surgical repair. The lawsuit states that Evans has incurred expenses for medical care. He also alleges that some of his injuries are permanent and will affect his ability to work and enjoy daily activities.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. Evans is represented in this case by attorney David C. Knieriem of The Law Offices of David C. Knieriem, LLC. in Town & Country, Mo.
