EDWARDSVILLE  - A landlord is suing its tenant for allegedly failing to pay rent.

Nexgen Nameoki Commons, LLC filed a lawsuit in the Madison County Circuit Court against 618 Brothers, Inc. and Emad Haroun, alleging breach of contract.

According to the lawsuit, Nexgen Nameoki Commons entered into a lease agreement with the defendants on Jan. 31, 2017, through Jan. 30, 2020, for them to lease property owned and operated by the plaintiff. Nexgen Nameoki Commons claims the defendants breached the contract by failing to pay rent and other charges as outlined in the lease.

The plaintiff claims it provided a written demand for the defendants to pay the obligations due and owing under the guaranty, but they have failed and refuse to make payments.

The defendants allegedly owe $65,303.09 in total for overdue rent payments, plus other charges allowed by the lease.

Nexgen Nameoki Commons seeks a judgment against the defendants, ordering total payment to be made. It also seeks all costs expended herein and attorney fees. The plaintiff is represented by Kenneth Leeds of St Louis.
