Heplerbroom issued the following announcement on Feb. 17.
Katelyn E. Hall and Whitney L. Burkett have joined HeplerBroom as associate attorneys. Hall practices in the firm’s Springfield office, and Burkett is in the Chicago office.
Hall, an associate in the firm’s Springfield office, specializes in civil litigation and is experienced in handling environmental, healthcare, and personal injury matters. She also has experience with laws involving data privacy and security, employment and labor, intellectual property, insurance litigation, and white-collar defense as well as appellate matters. In addition, she has experience handling mediations and negotiations. Hall earned her M.J. and J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law. She also holds a B.A. in History and Philosophy from St. Norbert College. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and is admitted to the bars of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of Illinois.
Burkett, an associate attorney in the firm’s Chicago office, focuses her practice on the defense of medical negligence and products liability actions in catastrophic personal injury cases. She also has experience defending medical device, transportation, premises liability, and long-term care matters. Burkett earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. She also holds a B.S. in Psychology from Tulane University. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and is admitted to the bars of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois.
