EDWARDSVILLE - A man claims he suffered injuries when he slipped and fell on ice at the Edwardsville AMC theater.

Randy Weber II filed the complaint on Jan. 20 in the Madison County Circuit Court against American Multi-Cinema Inc (AMC).

According to the complaint, Weber was at the defendant’s property in Edwardsville on Feb. 9, 2021, when he allegedly slipped and fell on ice.

Weber claims AMC should have known about the slippery conditions and owed a duty to maintain its premises in a safe condition.

He also alleges AMC failed to provide a reasonably safe premises, failed to properly treat the ice on its premises to prevent guests from slipping, failed to remove the ice from the premises and failed to warn of the slippery condition.

As a result, Weber claims he suffered injuries to his left elbow, left shoulder and back. He also claims he became disabled, experienced pain and suffering, incurred medical expenses and lost wages.

Weber seeks a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus court costs. He is represented by attorney Jeffrey Kopis of Jerome Salmi & Kopis LLC in Fairview Heights.
