EDWARDSVILLE - An Edwardsville lumber company claims a remodeling business has failed to pay for construction materials.

R.P. Lumber Co. Inc. filed the complaint on Jan. 18 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Dwayne Allen White and Midwest Exteriors & Interiors Inc.

According to the complaint, White is the owner of Midwest Exteriors & Interiors, which is a remodeling and construction business with a principal place of business in Mascoutah. R.P. Lumber claims it entered into an agreement with the defendants for building and construction materials. However, R.P. Lumber claims the defendants failed to pay for the materials purchased and received, allegedly owning more than $96,399, plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks payment of the outstanding bill, plus interest, court costs and attorney’s fees. It is represented by Katherine Smith of Edwardsville.
