To the Editor:
Here we go again…I am speaking of the anti-lawsuit, tort reform, gerrymandering and suppress the vote crowd, i.e. Republicans.
I have listened the campaign of the Chamber of Commerce attacking the judiciary in Madison County for over 30 years by labeling the County as a “Judicial Hellhole.” It is not. Yet, County Republicans are the first to file lawsuits anytime things go against their interest (subcircuit map). I am shocked that the party that wants to push tort reform in the name of jobs would file such a lawsuit.
With the normal county complainers complaining, again, I would suggest that they contact their senator or congressman urging them to support the For The People Act which prohibits partisan gerrymandering. Since Republicans are universally against such legislation, it seems disingenuous Republicans would complain when it happens. You can't have it both ways!
Once again, Democrats are simply following the law that Republicans oppose.
