EDWARDSVILLE - Two passengers are suing a woman who allegedly allowed her intoxicated husband to drive a vehicle and cause collision in Highland.

Michael and Karen Tallman filed a lawsuit on Jan. 6 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Stacy Knox.

According to the lawsuit, Sandra Anderson was operating a vehicle with the Tallmans riding as passengers on Jan. 10, 2020, near Hill Road in Highland. At the same time, Stacy Knox's vehicle was being driven by Jon Knox. The Tallmans claim the vehicle they were riding in was struck by Knox's vehicle when Jon Knox crossed the center line.

At the time of the collision, the plaintiffs allege Jon Knox was intoxicated and Stacy, knowing of his intoxication, should not have let him drive the vehicle.

The Tallmans claim they were caused to suffer severe and permanent injuries, past and future pain, mental anguish, large sums of money expended for hospital and medical treatment, lost future wages and damages to their earning capacity.

The Tallmans seek an amount in excess of $50,000, plus post and pre-judgment interest, and other costs. They are represented by Michael P. Glisson of Williamson Webster Falb & Glisson in Alton.
