EDWARDSVILLE - A motorist is suing another driver for allegedly causing a collision on Route 162.

Tammy and Aaron Moran filed a lawsuit on Dec. 14 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Alan Netemeyer II and Windoor Unlimited, Inc. alleging negligence, respondeat superior, negligent entrustment, negligent hiring and retention and loss of consortium.

According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 31, 2020, Tammy Moran was driving a vehicle westbound on Illinois Route 162 at the same time that Netemeyer was operating a vehicle traveling the same way. She claims Netemeyer negligently collided with the plaintiff's vehicle.

Moran alleges Netemeyer failed to reduce speed, failed to avoid a collision, failed to warn prior to the collision, and operated a vehicle in an improper and careless manner.

Tammy Moran claims she was caused to suffer personal injuries. Aaron Moran claims he was caused to suffer loss of consortium of his wife.

The Morans seek a judgment in excess of $50,000. They are represented by George H. Alberts of Albers Law in Granite City.
