EDWARDSVILLE -- A passenger claims she suffered severe injuries when another motorist caused a crash at an intersection in Madison.

Lanesha Gregory filed a lawsuit on Dec. 10 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Joshua Clark.

According to the lawsuit, Gregory was riding as a passenger in a motor vehicle traveling northbound on McCambridge Avenue at the intersection of 4th Street in Madison on Feb. 19. At the same time, Clark was traveling westbound on 4th Street at the same intersection and allegedly collided into the vehicle Gregory was a passenger in.

Clark allegedly failed to stop or swerve his vehicle to avoid a collision, drove his vehicle without sufficient control, drove his vehicle at a speed that was greater than reasonable, drove his vehicle without keeping an adequate lookout, failed to equip his vehicle with breaks and failed to stop or yield to the right-of-way.

Gregory claimed she suffered loss of a normal life, severe and permanent injuries and damages externally and internally. She also claims she will be hindered from attending to usual duties and affairs, endured pain and suffering and will continue to have pain and suffering in the future.

Gregory seeks a judgment in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus cost of suit. She is represented by Timothy P. Hulla of Brown & Brown in St. Louis.
