EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist is suing a ground transportation company and one of its drivers, who allegedly caused a collision on I-70.

Gary Fisk filed a complaint Nov. 10 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Selma Dereyayla and FAF Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Fisk alleges he was driving his vehicle on Highway I-70 on Dec. 2, 2019, when Dereyayla lost control of her vehicle, which was owned by FAF and collided with his vehicle.

He claims Dereyayla failed to apply brakes to avoid the collision, was operating the vehicle in a reckless and hazardous manner and failed to slow down in response to the hazardous conditions.

Fisk also claims FAF was negligent for failing to implement and enforce safety procedures and failing to properly train its employees in proper roadway safety.

He alleges that as a result of the collision, he suffered pain and required medical procedures.

Fisk seeks monetary and all other just relief. He is represented by Lorenzo Hester of The Hester Group LLC in St. Louis.
